Lukashenko travels to Polotsk to discuss housing and utilities issues

POLOTSK, 12 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko is on a working trip to Vitebsk Oblast, BelTA has learned.

In Polotsk, the president is set to host a meeting to discuss housing and utilities services in the country. The head of state announced the event a week ago, as he appointed a new government, including the housing and utilities minister. The new Housing and Utilities Minister is Andrei Khmel, who previously served as Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.

It is also expected that, while in Polotsk, Aleksandr Lukashenko will visit Saint Euphrosyne Monastery to take stock of the progress made in the restoration of the Transfiguration Church.
